GP practices are not obligated to act as certificate providers or to witness signatures on Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) documents. Sadly, as we have been drawn into family disputes this service is not offered at Northfield Medical Centre. Signatures on an LPA can be witnessed by anyone over 18 who is not named as an attorney or replacement attorney. Certificate providers may need to be sourced independently and privately.
