sit and wait phlebotomy service

Northfield Medical Centre are delighted to announce the reintroduction of the sit and wait phlebotomy service. This will commence at the practice

with effect from 16^th September 2025

Clinics will be running on Tuesday and Thursday mornings

from 8am – 11.30am *

Patients do not need to book an appointment in advance, simply turn up and book in with one of our Reception Team then take a seat and wait to be called for your appointment.

There are a few important things to note:

• Requests for blood tests must have been authorised by the practice or hospital.
• You must arrive and book in via the Receptionists by 11.30am. Any patients arriving after this time will be required to return on another day.
• This is a walk-in service, we are unable to take requests for appointments in these clinics over the telephone or on-line.
• The clinics are for blood tests only. Our Health Care Assistants will not be able to deal with other matters during your appointment.

*subject to staffing levels – there may be occasions where clinics are not available. We will endeavour to give as much notice in advance of any alterations to the service.
